Manar is a non-governmental organization registered in The Hague, the Netherlands. Established in 2019, we empower community groups and support local innovation ecosystems across the region by:
- Advancing the use of community engagement, social innovation, and social investment tools.
- Mobilizing talent and resources to build local innovation ecosystems capable of creating sustainable development solutions.
- Launching specialized platforms and innovative programs that bring training, development, and networking together through one integrated journey, helping strengthen the region’s development ecosystem.
Building Stronger, More Sustainable Community Ecosystems
Our region is rich in young talent and potential. Yet turning that potential into lasting development impact remains a real challenge. Our work focuses on three key gaps:
- Turning Ideas into Projects: Many promising initiatives stall early because they lack the right incubation and support to become sustainable projects.
- Connecting Funding to Impact: Funding does not always reach the initiatives best placed to create change, while both local teams and funders often lack effective impact measurement tools.
- Building Future-Ready Skills and Ecosystems: Communities need stronger digital and green economy skills, along with innovation ecosystems that help them adapt and respond to emerging challenges.
We believe the most sustainable solutions come from within local communities. That is why Manar involves communities in designing and delivering solutions while building supportive local ecosystems that empower individuals and teams to become changemakers.
